MATHUP GAMES

RUBICON MATH EDUCATION

MathUp is a paid digital math education program for Kindergarten to Grade 8. 
The Digital Games were created to provide a fun and flashy environment for kids to learn and test their math knowledge.Our goal was to push educational games beyond the normal format and create innovative and memorable content that weren't just multiple-choice questionnaires or interactive tests.
The games ranged from 2D platformers, Sudo-3D dungeon adventures, building games, 3d sandboxes, programming puzzles, and throwable physics challenges.

HEADRUSH

STUDENT CAPSTONE PROJECT

HeadRush is a wacky arcade-racer/trials like where you take control of a friendly brain-cell named Neura in order to help cheer up her sad host Bob. Flying through Bob's brain, the player must dodge his jumbled thoughts, destroy negativity crystals and bring him happiness as fast as possible.

INTO THE VORTEX

INTERNSHIP, QVANTUM STUDIOS

Into The Vortex is a stealth-based adventure game where the player can swap between two realities in order to traverse chaotic worlds. In one dimension androids and security technology have gone haywire and in the other alien forces have dawned the apocalypse.

NEBULORD II

GAME-JAM

Nebulord II is a local co-op space shooter that utilizes any mobile phone's gyroscope as a unique and intuitive controller. Each player is represented as a gun atop the team's spaceship maneuvering a recital to weak-points and incoming projectiles. Players must work together and coordinate themselves if they wish to defeat the powerful space-boss!

PIVOT

PERSONAL PROJECT

Pivot is a minimalist physics puzzle game where the player must rotate the circular pieces of a 1D labyrinth in order to guide the white ball to the center. The game features the Teach, Test, Challenge philosophy as the player is slowly introduced to the simple mechanics, level by level it increases in abstraction and danger.
